A photo of me shooting at Canon Beach, Oregon. believe it or not, I am not taking a photo of that seagull. In fact, it turns out I didn't even see it at the time. I was focused on Haystack Rock and failed to realize he wanted some portraits.

HI,

Welcome to my new portfolio site. As you can probably tell I am currently in the middle of the process of building this new website. My goal is to get a decent size portfolio uploaded with a wide variety of images and subject matter.

I want people to see my photography but I also want to share the stories behind the photos because the adventures attached to them are just as important to me as the photos themselves. My photography is something I can do every day all day. I have a passion to learn and a passion to share things the way I see them, but also share the way I remember and felt them at the time. For me, a successful photograph is one that moves me emotionally, and transports me into the scene. It takes me out of my head and somewhere else for a minute. It can make me laugh, make me cry, make me think, or make me wonder, but it moves me in one way or another. Generally I try and stay true to a scene. It is my opinion that at least half of the art of photography is in the post development of a photo...just like the old days when I developed my photos in a darkroom, today I develop my digital images on my computer or iPad. The end goal being to represent the scene, but make adjustments relative to what I want the photo to look like to tell my version of the story. I don't necessarily expect people to feel the same things I feel or see things the way I do...because they won't...Regardless of the actual lyrics, we all end up singing our own song in the end.

Whether through video or still photography, I've always loved trying to capture that fleeting moment in time and sharing it with others.

I will be updating this site continuously from here on out. I will continue to post new as well as old photos as often as I can and share my stories and adventures with anyone who wants to see and/or read about them.

I am available for events, portraits, pet photography etc.
